I am not sure the exact reason why, it could be all of the weather changes, irritation from eye makeup, harsh rubbing from makeup wipes, but the pain and discomfort has gotten so bad I had to find something that would heal and soothe. Not only did my eye makeup hurt to put on but it burned so bad when I would take it off! I got almost little scabs over my eyelids that would burn from the rubbing. I looked online for remedies and in the drug stores. I spent almost $20 on these eyelid rubbing pads, which did work for makeup removal (and didn’t burn) but what I really needed was for something to heal the burn and scabbing/cuts and provide relief and intense moisture. A friend of mine told me recently of Castor Oil for eye problems and skin issues and mixing a little tea tree oil as an antiseptic. I blend the two now and put it on my eyes every night (or use the Castor oil alone). I found mine at Whole Foods for about ten bucks but I think it’s sold in most health stores and such. I use a regular intense moisture eye cream like Clinique All About Eyes Rich in the mornings under my makeup. It is ophthalmologist tested, super rich and creamy, and great for sensitive eyes like mine. Oh, and baby shampoo as an eye wash may be the best thing ever 😉
