Wanted to share what I’m currently reading! I plan to start updating my Book Club again, I’ll be sharing about my readings and writing prompts so we can engage in. Do any of these call to you and you’d be down to read with me? Let me know your pick, and comment below as I will be opening up the Soul Food Book Club Forum soon! I personally love to read and read usually several books at once there’s just so many good reads out there! I switch off between actual in hand books (my favorite personally), reading on Libby App (you can borrow books from your library for a few weeks at a time for free!) and Audiobooks which I usually download on Spotify since I have Premium and there are so many included! Here’s what I’m reading:

I am really getting into this book as of part 2 and it’s making me think so much of the ancient ways of birthing and feminism, womanhood. The way life was and the vast difference in roles of male vs female. Plus such a deep insight to the biblical story of Leah and Rachel and Jacob and the wives and children even though it’s fiction. I love reading it!

Wow I can’t stop reading!! I am resonating so much with it and being pregnant with my 3rd choosing a wild pregnancy and free birth Yolande is quite the inspiration! There may be some triggers in this book, but if you’re ready to unravel and dive deep into the medicine that is ultimate faith and trusting in the birth realm, it’s such a great read.

This is so informative and waking me up in so many ways especially having little children. I’m learning so much. And I love how it’s written by an occupational therapist that runs and outdoor program she really knows what’s going on with kids these days and it truly resonates because I see it as well. So great if you want to learn more how to optimize your child’s sensory and nervous system.

I’m loving what I’m reading, I did just start it but it’s a deeper look into the chakras and spirituality. This is helpful for my chakra analysis readings and understanding humanhood and the soul better.

Okay I’m literally obsessed. I love Mirabai’s perspective and I’m resonating with it so much as I’ve been initiated more and more as a Mystic. If you’re called to Mysticism and feeling the path of the Mystic, it’s a beautiful read I couldn’t wait to purchase it so I’m listening to audiobook on Spotify.
It’s more like a reference book for me at this point I’m loving all of the recipes. And it’s giving me so many content ideas too for my pregnancy. I also read the First Forty Days by her as well and she has another called Awakening Fertility. A must read if you’re pregnant, looking to conceive, or wanting to support another Mother. Amazing tips, education, and holistic ancient perspective. My goal is to make at least one meal a week!

Okay I’m trying to get into it honestly but I am at the very beginning. I start thinking of reading another book sometimes lol. Let’s see if I can finish it. I’ve been borrowing this from the library on Libby app so I can read this on my phone and I have been falling asleep reading it but I do have a feeling it will get good, I love suspense mysteries!
Let me know what looks interesting!
Happy reading!
Xo,
Bria
